In September 2023, MTEP 2.0 started using Groups.io for MTEP-related communications. Groups.io is an ad-free platform for communicating with each other, which allows members to send messages to the group either through the group’s website or by email, view past messages on the website, and use the group’s web-based collaboration features, including Calendar and Wikis.

Although we’ve been using the platform for over a year, navigating Groups.io may still feel foreign to many of us. The following tips are intended to serve as a user guide for the MTEP 2.0 Groups.io groups. For an in-depth dive into how to use Groups.io, check out the Groups.io Members Manual.

MTEP 2.0 groups

  • The MTEP 2.0 main group is open to members of MTEP teams, as well as those interested in joining or forming teams and/or attending MTEP 2.0 events. All members of MTEP 2.0 teams are encouraged to be a part of this group. For instructions to join the main group, visit mtep.info/join.
  • In addition to the main MTEP 2.0 group, the Change Agents subgroup includes team leaders, program leaders, and change coaches. If you are an MTEP 2.0 change agent and are not a member of the Change Agent Groups.io, please contact Meghan Leadabrand (MTEP 2.0 Administration Hub) at mleadabrand2@unl.edu.
  • The leadership hubs and other subsets of the MTEP community can communicate using the following additional Groups.io subgroups: Hub Members, Hub Leaders, Research Hub, Support Hub, and Change Coaches.

Navigating MTEP 2.0 groups
  • The main group Calendar contains the dates and times of all upcoming MTEP 2.0 events.
  • To view past conversations between group members on the web, visit the Messages tab of the Groups.io menu for the appropriate group.
  • Each group and subgroup has its own Wiki, a repository of content on a group’s website, organized in pages. The first page of the Wiki for each group includes links to past messages and rolling meeting notes/agendas (when applicable).
  • When you join an MTEP 2.0 Groups.io group, the default Email Delivery method will be set to Individual Messages, which means you receive each message individually as soon as it is posted to the group. You can adjust these settings to your preference, but we recommend keeping the default setting to ensure you don’t miss out on exciting opportunities and events. We do our best to keep the volume of messages as low as possible.

Troubleshooting
  • If you are not receiving messages from either the main MTEP group or any subgroups you think you belong to, please log into the Groups.io website and verify that you are actually a member. You might also check your Email Delivery settings as described above.
  • If problems persist, contact Meghan Leadabrand.
