Works will be by Thomas Vincent (an oboist active in London at the time of Handel), York Bowen (a "romantic" pianist of the mid twentieth century), Andrew Downes (a composer in Birmingham writing about his experiences in eastern India) and Malcolm Arnold (one of the wittiest of modern British composers for wind music). This is a continuation of William McMullen's ongoing research into British music for the oboe.

Bio:> William McMullen, professor of oboe at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, is principal oboe with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and oboist in the Moran Woodwind Quintet. He has appeared as soloist with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and the Nebraska Chamber Orchestra in performances of the Strauss, Mozart and Vaughan-Williams concertos.
