The Nebraska Academy of Sciences will host its 131st Annual Meeting on the mornings of April 23-24, 2021, providing a "virtual" venue for students, faculty, and other scientists to share their research with peers and colleagues across Nebraska. Concurrent sessions will host selected themes across a range of scientific disciplines. We especially invite undergraduate and graduate students to present!
The deadline to submit an abstract and register as a presenter is March 19. Register at: https://neacadsci.org/SpringMeeting. This registration link will redirect you to the Application Portal administered by UNL's CSMCE (https://go.unl.edu/scimathapply). Follow prompts to Create an Account, Register, and upload your abstract. Contact information for the Chairs of discipline-focused Sections is available here: https://neacadsci.org/Committees.
The Program Schedule and Abstracts will be available online and published in the Proceedings of the Nebraska Academy of Sciences.
On Friday, April 23, at 1 p.m., NAS President Sally Harms will present the State of the Academy address, followed by the 2021 Maiben Lecture: Reflections of a Nebraska Herpetologist, presented by Dennis Ferraro. There will be a brief NAS business meeting and the annual presentation of the Friend of Science award.
We hope you will be able to join with other participants at the Nebraska Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting as we celebrate Nebraska science education and active research in this virtual venue.
