“Chronicle: Celebrating Black History Month,” a production by KETV in Omaha, featured the work Nebraska’s Marianna Burks is doing to get more students of color interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.

Burks is a science learning specialist with TRIO Programs and an instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences. Her work developing a summer research internship program for first-year Huskers was featured in Nebraska Today in August. Read more about that project here.
