Student internships are available in vertebrate paleontology at Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park for the 2024 field season. The positions are open to all students with genuine interest and experience in vertebrate paleontology, with preference given to Geology and/or Biology students aspiring to further their experience outside the classroom. Duties include fossil excavation and lab preparation, sorting of micro-vertebrate fossils, interpretation and communication of science concepts for park visitors, and other tasks related to the operation of the park and its facilities. Three internships will be available during May 23 to Aug. 3, 2024. Wage/Workload: $14.00 per hour, 36-38 hours per week.
