Nebraska science teachers earn Presidential Award for Excellence

Two Nebraska science teachers have been selected by the White House as recipients of the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). The following educators were recognized as Nebraska's honorees in the Science award category.

  • 2021 Awardee (7-12): Kathryn Dornbos, Norris High School chemistry teacher and science department chair, of Firth
  • 2023 Awardee (7-12): Jennifer Jones, Ogallala High School chemistry, anatomy/physiology, and physics teacher, of Ogallala
This significant achievement highlights exceptional contributions to the teaching profession and impactful work in the sciences.
