The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nebraska Kearney and University of Nebraska Omaha are excited to announce that the 2026 Nebraska Physics and Astronomy Summit will take place Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the UNO STEM TRAIL Center in Omaha! This annual event brings together physics and astronomy educators from across Nebraska and the surrounding region—including high school, community college and university instructors—to share ideas, resources and innovations in teaching and outreach.
The summit is a great opportunity to:
- Connect with colleagues across institutions
- Exchange ideas for improving physics and astronomy instruction
- Explore new approaches to labs, technology and student engagement
- Strengthen statewide education and outreach community
If you haven’t already, register now for a day of collaboration and inspiration.
Call for post-breakout sessions
The summit program still has a few open slots for 30-minute post-breakout sessions. If you’d like to share a teaching idea, outreach project or research connection, please send your session title and a short abstract to Jason Testin (UNO Physics) at jtestin@unomaha.edu.
Let’s continue the tradition of collaboration, innovation, and community that makes this summit so valuable to Nebraska’s physics and astronomy educators.
