The 2026 Nebraska Environmental Education Conference will be held Friday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 7 at the University of Nebraska at Kearney Regional Engagement Center in Kearney, NE and the Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary.

By weaving together art, ecology, and storytelling, this year’s conference theme—Rising Together: Building Belonging through Art, Ecology & Stories of Place—aims to elevate environmental education as an essential tool that can inspire a deeper sense of ecological belonging for all Nebraskans. Connect with fellow educators, artists, resource professionals and storytellers and discover new ways to engage with your communities, inspire curiosity in your students, and foster meaningful connections to the natural places we call home. Through hands-on workshops, inspiring sessions, and shared experiences, you’ll leave feeling energized, connected, empowered and ready to rise together in the work of environmental education.

Register by 11:59 p.m. CST on Friday, Jan. 16.
