
The Summer 2026 Nebraska Agriculture and Science Education Leadership Institute is a professional development and leadership opportunity for Nebraska K-5 educators to experience Nebraska agriculture and learn how to use agricultural phenomena to bring standards to life in a classroom. Applications are due May 30.
What participants will experience
- Immersive experience from June 17-18 in Hastings, Nebraska
- Field trips to local farms and agriculture industries
- Collaboration with agriculture industry experts and fellow educators
- Integration of Nebraska-specific agricultural connections into classroom curriculum
Eligibility requirements
- Current Nebraska elementary school agriculture teacher
- Commitment to attend virtual preparation activities prior to the event (details forthcoming) and immersive
experience - Interest in teaching agriculture-focused curriculum

- Financial compensation of $150/day
- Professional development experience with industry professionals
