Approximately 40 high school students attended E2-Day Jan. 15, hosted by the UNL College of Engineering. The event was held on UNL East Campus and focused on majors in Biological Systems Engineering and Agricultural Engineering.
The students, who came primarily from high schools in Nebraska and Iowa, listened to a presentation from Dr. Dennis Schulte, professor of Biological Systems Engineering, as well as a panel of current engineering students. The high school students, along with family members, then had lunch with faculty and current students, followed by campus tours.
E2-Day used to be combined with the Biological Systems Engineering Department's annual Edible Car Competition but became its own event in 2011 to focus on prospective students.
