Food Safety Training & Help Desk, On-Demand

The Nebraska MEP is launching an online suite of food safety training classes for food manufacturers. The classes, produced by the NJMEP and the MEP National Network, are self-paced and on-demand and cover HACCP, Food Allergens, Food Recall and Withdrawl, CGMP Requirements and Readiness, Food Defense-Intentional Adulteration and an online Food Safety Help Desk.

"The goal of these courses is to provide the basics to food facility employees," says Dr. Bismarck Martinez, overseeing food safety for the Nebraska MEP. "These courses are designed for the working food professional to ensure they are handling food production in a safe manner and are educated on regulations and compliance."

The courses are proctored and are offered seasonally through 2021.
