Food Safety workshops online, Sept-Oct

Current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) workshops will be presented online during September and October. The workshops are offered at no charge, underwritten by a grant from NIST MEP. The sessions will be led Dr. Byron Chaves, assistant professor, Food Science & Technology, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Participants must be an employee of a food manufacturing company.
Current Good Manufacturing Practices workshop participants learn cGMP regulation and the way to operationalize the requirements through the design of sanitation standard operating procedures. The workshop will be held September 21 -22, 11:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. CT.

HACCP participants will gain knowledge and tools to develop and implement HACCP plans applicable to their industry. The course content follows the approved curriculum of the “International HACCP Alliance” and is a combination of lectures, videos, and hands-on activities over two full days. The workshop will be held October 11-14, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
