The Nebraska MEP continues to offer in-person, 1-day workshops to help companies develop their high-potential employees. Workshops are currently being offered in Lincoln, Omaha and Kearney.
"Our 1-day workshops have been very popular, so we are continuing to offer them," says Joe Roy, business development specialist with the Nebraska MEP. "It's a chance for smaller companies to send a couple employees at a time, and the opportunity for larger companies to see what the MEP has to offer."
Upcoming Supervisor Training Events:
Supervisor development uses a dynamic program of hands-on learning and practice, teaching essential skills for supervisors, team leads and anyone who directs the work of others. Our training combines lectures and demonstrations with active interaction of the participants. Skills developed can be used by participants in their day-to-day responsibilities.
JOB RELATIONS (JR) teaches supervisors how to evaluate and take proper actions to hand and prevent people problems. In JR one learns how to judge situations and how to develop and maintain good relations with one’s employees. Scheduled JR training is as follows:

JOB INSTRUCTIONS (JI) teaches supervisors how to quickly train employees on how to do a job correctly, safely and conscientiously. In JI one learns how to prepare the worker and how to properly present\train the employee in a consistent and repeatable manner. Scheduled JI training is as follows:

LEAN 101 SIMULATION EVENTS: The Nebraska MEP is offering a one day, 5-6 hour, Lean 101 certification program. This program will involve both lectures and hands on simulation helping participants get introduced to the principles of lean manufacturing. Scheduled Lean 101 training is as follows:
