Since 2017, the Nebraska MEP has annually presented Process Safety Management workshops. Some have focused on specific elements of OSHA regulations for ethanol and chemical plants. On Oct 20-22, Process Safety Management Builder will return to an overview of all the elements of the OSHA standard for this year’s course offering.
“Our constituents in the chemical space have asked for a return of an overview of all the elements of the OSHA standard for this year’s course offering," says Matthew Jorgensen, MEP project manager. “This course is one way for an operator, a plant manager, an engineer or a safety specialist to better understand the safety regulations and build it into their own operations.”
The course is being led by Philip Myers of Advantage Risk Solutions, who has 35 years of industry experience. Myers has served as a technical contributor to the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Global Congress on Process Safety (GCPS) and other professional conferences, journals, and publications in process safety and risk analysis.
The Nebraska Ethanol Board is offering a tuition reimbursement of $900 per person upon completion for employees of qualifying ethanol plants located in Nebraska. Registration and reimbursement funds are limited to 20 qualifying registrants. Certificates of Completion will be issued awarding 2.1 CEUs (equal to 21 PDHs), often used to maintain professional licenses.
