Our public discourse has grown fractured and bitter. Many members of our civil society feel uncomfortable voicing their opinions. Some members speak out with scalding rhetoric and closed ears. Even fewer are willing and able to disagree in good faith. Converge Nebraska gives Huskers the opportunity to take a step in the right direction.
Participants will provide contact information, complete a short political ideology quiz, and indicate their general availability. Members of ASUN Student Government will match participants of differing political ideology, place them in contact with each other, and provide them a discussion guide to facilitate their conversation. Sign-ups will be open Sept. 5 through Sept. 20. ASUN will pair students within one week after the final deadline.
