The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has a week filled with activities to celebrate First-Generation College Day on November 8.

First Gen Stories Matter Workshop
Nov. 5 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in Love Library South, Petersen Room — Learn how to discuss your first generation story authentically and feel confident acknowledging the positive attributes of your first-gen experience as you begin to navigate professional, educational, and career pathways.

First Gen Share a Meal
Nov. 6 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in Willa Cather Dining Hall, Lark Room — Join fellow First Generation Nebraska students, faculty and staff members. Lunch is provided. Bring your NCard. Come and go as your schedule allows.

I’m First Coffee and Donuts
Nov. 7 from 8 – 10:00 a.m. in Adele Coryell Hall Learning Commons — Grab a free donut to start off your morning. Stay and socialize within other members of the UNL first generation community.

National First Gen Celebration Fair
Nov. 8 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Crib — Learn about on-campus resources for first generation students. Grab some swag, snacks, and an "I Support First-Gen" pin. There will be a photo booth and share your story banner.
