Athletic Training Basics evening classes start January 21 & 22

Athletic Training Basics is a great class for athletic training majors and health majors alike. Small class sizes ensure lots of individual attention and hands-on experience. The cost of the class is $50 but the education you receive is priceless.

Class is held in CREC 230C on T/W evenings from 7:30-9:30pm beginning January 21 or 22 depending on the section.

This 10-week class teaches the basic skills needed to be an IPC staff member. Topics include:
• Wound Care
• PRICE and Heat
• The HOPS System
• Ankle, Knee, Shoulder, and Head/Neck Evaluations
• Taping and Wrapping
• Stretching
• Liability and Negligence
• Rehabilitation • Emergency Procedures
• Heat and Cold Injuries
• Blood Pressure
• Over-the-Counter Medications

Register at the Member Services Desk at City Campus Rec or the RWC.
