D&I Live at 5 is a living room conversation about how diversity and cultural perspectives shape life decisions and higher education. This particular discussion will focus on the hashtag #BlackInTheIvory. Host Marco Barker, vice chancellor for diversity and inclusion at UNL will be joined by special guests T. Elon Dancy II, director, Center for Urban Education; Helen S. Faison, endowed chair at the University of Pittsburgh; and Kirsten Edwards, Linda Clarke Anderson Presidential Professor, faculty fellow in the Office of the Vice President for Research & Partnerships at the University of Oklahoma to discuss their experiences as black scholars within the institution of higher education.

The topic is inspired by the #BlackintheIvory hashtag founded by Assistant Professor Shardé Davis and PhD Student Joy Melody Woods. Learn more about #BlackInTheIvory.
