Have you registered for the Career Fair?
Have you scheduled your meetings with employers?
Virtual Career Fairs are about more than showing up and going from booth to booth. In a virtual Career Fair, you schedule your connections with employers in advance of the event. This means no waiting in lines, no travel time, the opportunity to come and go in between scheduled sessions, and knowing exactly when you will connect with employers of interest – IF you act now, because it also means you must register and schedule your employer sessions in advance of the event. Visit this link to do so and to learn more about the virtual Career Fair.
Because it is virtual, the University Career Fair also offers more days to participate. Each of the four days, September 22– 25, focus on specific career pathways reflected in UNL majors. This allows you to target your time to areas of interest to you. Most employers are participating in more than one day, so check them all out. Also try to look beyond your major– even if an employer did not list your major outright, they may have opportunities perfect and open for you.
Now, get registered, schedule your meetings, and visit the Career Fair Canvas Page for insight on what to expect in the virtual Career Fair.
