If you’re like some students, you may have delayed a few health care appointments these past few months due to the presence of COVID-19 in the community and your busy schedule.

If this sounds like you, it’s time to consider reconnecting with a health care provider. The University Health Center has appointments available and is ready to meet your needs.

Why should I go to the doctor? I’m not sick.
Research shows people are healthier overall when they see a health care provider for routine and preventive care. We also know that when more students have a relationship with a primary care provider, our Husker community is healthier and stronger overall. Think of it as a form of self-care and a way to protect those around you.

Is it safe to visit?
The health center is going above and beyond to keep you, our staff and our Husker community safe. Because of the safety precautions in place, your experience might look a bit different than in the past. Prepare yourself by learning what to expect at your next appointment.

Do I have to visit in person?
If you’re not quite ready to venture out in public, we understand. Consider connecting with your provider through telehealth. You can participate in a telehealth appointment through the new Nebraska Medicine app. Learn more.

What services do I actually need?
Although much of this depends on your unique situation, there are certain services that are relevant to all students, and we encourage you to take advantage of them:
