Join the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services to discuss the 2020 Presidential Election. Dr. Elizabeth Theiss-Morse, professor in the Department of Political Science, will join the conversation. Dr. Theiss-Morse’s research has specifically examined public opinion concerning various aspects of democracy, including support for civil liberties, Congress, democratic processes, and the American people as a national group. Presented by CAPS and the LGBTQA+ Center, Staying Resilient in Election Season drop-in group is designed for UNL students who identify as part of the LGBTQA+ community who are seeking a place to share, talk, and listen to others about concerns they are having in this election season. Nebraska College of Law professors Kyle Langvardt and Eric Berger will lead a program and Q&A addressing the 2020 election and potential legal issues that may arise. Both professors have expertise in constitutional law. Q&A session will follow their presentation. This program is hosted by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion; Nebraska College of Law; LGBTQA+ Center; Women’s Center; and Huskers Vote Coalition. Join via Zoom.
