UPC Nebraska is pleased to offer a UNL-student exclusive Zoom session with journalist and New York Times bestselling author Susannah Cahalan on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.

With a story that is part science, part human interest, award-winning writer Susannah Cahalan has gained worldwide attention for turning her journalistic gaze on herself to reveal her personal battle to regain her mind, body and self, while expertly uncovering valuable insight into the human brain.

In her book Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness, Cahalan reveals her personal journey from a promising young writer with a clean bill of health to a restrained hospital patient descending into madness. During this UNL-exclusive Zoom session, Cahalan will incite important discussion around mental illness and the power of human resilience while sharing experiences of her successful journalism career.
