"What were you wearing?" Survival Art Installation

An art exhibit that asks participants to understand that it is never about the clothing when sexual violence occurs, this display will show recreations of outfits worn during assaults with accompanying stories from sexual assault survivors. Inspired by the poem “What I Was Wearing” by Dr. Mary Simmerling, the project intends to shed light on the burden of self-blame brought forth by the question that is pervasive for most survivors and the inability to shed those clothes and the experience.





Special Edition Dish It Up: Reverberations of Radicalization

Dish It Up is a safe space for students, staff, and faculty to share their personal views and experiences, engage in discussion, and learn from others. This Special Edition Dish It Up will give students the change to talk about how radicalization, echo chambers, misinformation, conspiracy theories and extremist ideologies impact them. The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Max Mueller, a theorist and historian of race and religion in American history who has extensive experience moderating sensitive discussions.

Ramadan: Night of Learning

ASUN Student Government is hosting Ramadan: Night of Learning. Students and staff on UNL’s campus may not understand what Ramadan is and how the Muslim community celebrates this holy month. The purpose of this Zoom panel is for Muslim students of different backgrounds to come together to discuss what Ramadan means to them and to create a safe environment on campus for students celebrating Ramadan.

This workshop will offer a caring, supportive environment that fosters individual well-being, academic success, and character growth to transform students in recovery into leaders in the community. Yoga Sculpt & Smoothies

Join instructor Annalisa as she brings you through a yoga sculpt workout followed by refueling with a healthy smoothie brought to you by the Wellness & Nutrition Education staff. The class is free for All-Class Pass holders and $15 for non-pass holders. National Collegiate Recovery Day

Celebrate students, faculty, and staff in recovery during National Collegiate Recovery Day. The Collegiate Recovery Community Advisory Board will host a tabling event that includes a signature board sharing why recovery is important, a video on the big screen, free food and giveaways. Members of the public are also invited.





Silkroad Ensemble

NCAA Volleyball Regional: Huskers vs Texas State/Utah Velley winner

The Nebraska volleyball team was selected as the Number 5 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament and will be one of 48 teams to compete in the NCAA Tournament at the CHI Health Center Omaha. The Huskers, making their 39th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, will open the tournament on Thursday, April 15 against the winner of the Texas State-Utah Valley first-round match that takes place on Wednesday, April 14.





Coffee Bike Ride

April 16  |  7:30– 9 a.m.  |  Outdoor Adventures Center


Want to explore Lincoln and make new friends, but need your morning coffee? This will be a relaxed morning ride leaving from the Outdoor Adventures Center showcasing some bike paths around town. During the ride, participants will find a good place to meet and make some coffee, tea or other morning beverages, then head back to campus in time for all but the earliest classes. Bikes, helmets and drink are provided.





Together We Remember Virtual Vigil: Violence & Extremism Prevention Week

April 16  |  4:30– 5:30 p.m.  |  Oldfather Hall


This will be a virtual vigil to commemorate people who were murdered in genocides and acts of hate. Participants will use Together We Remember’s model of commemoration through name reading. Participants will sign up in advance to either attend the vigil or to read a person’s name, and deliver a few very brief remarks about that person. This event will honor the memories of those who lost their lives to extremist violence, and promote the goal of making the campus community a place where consciousness of the tragedies and injustices of the past inspire everyone to promote human rights for all people today.





Bike & Paddle

April 18  |  9 a.m.– 4 p.m.  |  Outdoor Adventures Center


This trip will include both riding bikes and spending an afternoon on the lake. The day will start out with a bike ride from the Outdoor Adventures Center through the heart of Lincoln to Holmes Lake where participants will have stand-up paddleboards and kayaks waiting. Once everyone has explored the lake by boat, the group will head back to the Outdoor Adventures Center by bike. This trip is a great way to try two outdoor activities and see all that Lincoln has to offer. No previous experience is required and biking and paddling gear is provided.
