Learn more about Indian cuisine, agriculture and how you can prepare three authentic recipes! The class will be led by local chef Amrita Mahapatra, and free samples of tandoori chicken, sautéed vegetables and naan will be provided. This is the signature event of 2021 International Education Week celebrations. All students are invited to join this evening to experience a taste of the world. Students from Kenya, Nigeria, India, Mexico, China, Spain and Guatemala will share their perspectives as international students and combat some misconceptions about their home countries. The panel, hosted by the UNL Racial Justice Alliance, will discuss how the students have felt marginalized, affirmed and welcomed in the U.S. ZOOM link

Free STI and HIV Testing
Wednesday, November 17 | 3 to 5:30 p.m. | Nebraska Union, Room 338
Free, anonymous and confidential HIV testing with same-day results. All people 13 years or older are eligible to be tested. Anyone who is sexually active should be tested annually for HIV.

Applying for Health Schools 101 workshop
Wednesday, November 17 | 4 to 5 p.m. | Love Library South
Anyone planning to apply to a professional health school in the next couple of years, should check out this event. Even if you're in your first or second year of college, it is important to learn about the steps in the application process and what you can do now to prepare to submit your best application.
NOTE: This workshop will not cover information about applying to nursing school, radiography programs, or dental hygiene programs.

LXB: League of Extraordinary Boulders
Wednesday, November 17 | 7 to 8:30 p.m. | Outdoor Adventures Center
Join the weekly bouldering league in the Climbing Gym and compete against other students. Can't make the 7 p.m. session? A second session will happen from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

Thanksgiving Dinner at the Dining Centers

All meal-plan holders are invited to enjoy the delicious annual Thanksgiving Meal prepared by the Dining Services. Dinner is included with meal plans.
Abel, Cather, & Harper Dining Centers will serve dinner from 4:30-8 p.m.
East Campus Dining Center will serve dinner from 4:30-7 p.m.
