Eating foods when they are in season and ripened can help you save money, as foods are generally less expensive when they are bought during their ripening time. Not only are you able to save money but you can also purchase produce that is perfectly fresh and delightfully flavorful.

Some ripened summer foods include melons, peppers, zucchinis, berries, corn, grapes, and cucumbers. No wonder the perfect watermelon always seems to come in the summertime.

RECIPES
Since we've covered eating foods during their ripening times, and the benefits that they afford you, you may be wondering what dishes you can make with those foods. I have a few ideas I think you might like to try.
