The first-year student service event Urban Plunge features opportunities for more than 200 Huskers to help local nonprofit orgs with yard work, serving meals to participants, and sorting donations. The event will happen from 9 to 11 a.m. August 19, 2022.
The university will continue to offer (with minor changes) free, saliva-based COVID-19 testing this fall. All testing is voluntary and available to any member of the campus community who is symptomatic or may have been exposed to the virus. No appointments, just an NCard will be required.

New this fall, Counseling and Psychological Services is offering online scheduling for students seeking an initial evaluation appointment. To schedule an appointment, students are encouraged to go online the morning of the same day they’d like to meet with a provider.

Summer 2022 commencement at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will feature a combined graduate and undergraduate ceremony Aug. 13 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
The live music concert series is free and open to the public, featuring bluegrass bands from the Appalachian regions, Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, and Lincoln-based groups. The first concert is 6 p.m. Aug. 10.
