To better support survivors of sexual assault, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Advocacy, Response and Education (CARE) office is expanding and has moved to a new location – in the heart of the residential corridor on campus.

On August 29, Jennessa Jarvis will join CARE as a survivor support advocate. Katie Bogen, a Clincial Psychology graduate student, will provide trauma-informed counseling services, and approximately 40 undergraduate students have been selected as Huskers CARE peer educators.

In May, CARE moved to a dedicated space in the southeast wing of Neihardt Center. In addition to increasing the office square footage, the new location offers dedicated programming space for student organization meetings and student events as well as a private entrance for coordinated emergency use.

Located around the corner from CARE is Student Advocacy and Support. Less known to students, this office supports those experiencing personal hardship and/or health-related concerns or emergencies.
