Ice Cream Bike Ride
5 to 7 p.m. September 6
Outdoor Adventure Center


Get out and explore Lincoln by bicycle for a fun, casual ride and enjoy some ice cream. Participants will ride from Outdoor Adventures Center to East Campus almost entirely on trails, before having ice cream at the UNL Dairy Store.

Bikes, helmets, ice cream, and instruction are all provided.

FREE for students/members, $5 for non-members. Sign up by noon September 5.

Husker Dialogues

Husker Dialogues is where first-year students learn to have brave conversations about building community, embracing difference, and becoming engaged on campus — all while being introduced to fellow Huskers from all different backgrounds. Students hear from amazing student speakers before breaking out to chat in small groups with trained students, staff and faculty conversation guides about how to build an inclusive campus for everyone.

Visit and talk with the numerous campus offices & resources that keep our campus community safe.

Students can speak with individuals and receive information about:

• mental health
• property safety
• consent
• healthy relationships

• hazing prevention

Engage in conversation with fellow Huskers in a safe and inclusive environment while increasing a shared sense of responsibility and community. Facilitated by trained undergraduate Huskers CARE Peer Educators, SARV workshops are designed to help undergraduate students:

• Gain awareness of and increase understanding of sexual assault and relationship violence.
• Learn about programs and resources available on campus and in the community.
• Be empowered to become active in daily life through prevention of power-based violence by knowing how to intervene.
