Explore and Understand: Food Insecurity
Food insecurity is defined as the disruption of food intake or eating patterns because of a lack of resources - financial and otherwise. USDA defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. Food insecurity can lead to poor performance in work and/or school as well as other long-lasting effects.

People's City Mission
November 27th | 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The organization's mission is to be a witness for Christ among the poor and homeless, to serve their needs, and to advocate their cause to the community at large. Students will be able to serve food to participants.

Connection Point Open Shelf Pantry
November 28th | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Connection Point provides basic-need items to neighbors with the utmost dignity and respect. Students will be organizing a food pantry and distributing items to guests.

November 29 | 2 to 4 p.m.
The Salvation Army serves the Lincoln area through various areas of service, including feeding programs, youth development, Pathway of Hope, and more. Students will be sorting food donations and distributing items to the community.

The Mission of Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Lincoln's working poor, and homeless through outreach, advocacy, and education. Students will be sorting a food pantry and distributing items to the community.
