Colonel Sutherland will present, "The Inspiration of Courage: The Perspective of Reality” at 7:30pm on March 29 in the Union Auditorium. This event, sponsored by the University Program Council and Student Veteran Organization will be free to UNL students with a valid NCard and OPEN to the public.
Colonel David W. Sutherland is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Easterseals Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services. Sutherland served over 29 years in the U.S. Army with his final tour as the Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff with principle focus on Warrior and Family Support. Sutherland continues to advocate for service members, veterans, military families and families of the fallen. Sutherland’s presentation will feature a discussion on “the valor that he has seen on the battlefield and the specific challenges many of our veterans and their families face as they transition out of the military into the community.”
