Music, dance collaboration creates ‘Note the Obvious Differences’

Violinist Hyeyung Yoon and dancers Susan Levine Ourada and Hye-Won Hwang are collaborating to present an exciting concert of live dance and music titled ‘Note the Obvious Differences’ on Tuesday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Lied Center’s Carson Theater. Tickets are General Admission $5; Students/Seniors $3.

The evening will feature choreography by Susan Ourada alongside performance of Pärt’s Fratres, Ravel’s Duo for Violin and Cello, Ysaye’s Violin Sonata and more. Hye-Won Hwang will dance a traditional Korean dance called Salpuri with solo violin music by J.S. Bach, and there will be an original dance created and performed by embi, a local dance company, to Ysaye. Other performers include cellist Gregory Beaver, pianist Paul Barnes, sloDance company members Marisol Herling, Beth Jenson and Cary Twomey, and the DanceUnl Senior Dance Ensemble -- Lupé Chairez, Lauren Kraemer, Alexis Spurgin and Madeline Thelen.
