Campus Rec Hosts Fall Colors Hiking Trip to Platte River State Park

Campus Rec's Fall Colors Hiking Trip offers a quick escape from the city with a full day of hiking around Platte River State Park 9 a.m.–3 p.m., Oct. 28. With 14 miles of trails to explore, this area offers a chance to relax for a day and unwind from the week. Check out scenic views of the Platte River while hiking along dirt, tree-covered trails! Lunch will be provided along with pleasant conversation and a great group of fellow hikers. No experience is required and all gear, transportation, instructors, insurance, permits and meals are provided. Adventure trips provide a fun, easy way to enjoy nature, experience new places and meet new people. Registration deadline is Oct. 23 and fees are $15 for UNL students and CREC members and $20 for the general public.
