The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music’s Opera program will present The Tender Land on Friday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. and then again on Sunday, February 24 at 3 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.
Aaron Copland’s quintessential American opera resonates with a musical language born out of our great mid-western landscapes. Taking place in a Depression era rural community, this tune-filled opera depicts the life of a young girl, her family, and two migrant workers in a coming of age story sure to tug at your heartstrings.
A pre-performance talk will be held 45 minutes before curtain of each performance in the lower lobby of Kimball.
Tickets are Adults $20; Students/Seniors $10. For advance tickets sales, contact the Lied Center Box Office, 402-472-4747. Online: https://www.liedcenter.org/event/tender-land
