NMSSI 2012, MATH 802T in Lincoln

The Nebraska Math and Science Summer Institutes (NMSSI) offer graduate mathematics and pedagogy courses in just one or two weeks to help you earn graduate credit hours at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln conveniently and affordably.

To make the NMSSI professional development opportunities more affordable, UNL has agreed to offer tuition discounts to Nebraska teachers who take our summer courses. Nebraska teachers automatically qualify for a Tuition Fellowship (20% of in-state tuition) for these graduate courses.

Teachers can also apply for a $300 fellowship from the NMSSI to help cover the tuition cost. Apply here: https://cse.unl.edu/scimath/apps/apply.php.

This summer, MATH 802T: Functions, Algebra and Geometry, will be offered in Ainsworth from June 10-14 (Class # 2957, Section # 952). The target audience for MATH 802T is grades 6-9 teachers, with a secondary audience of grades 5 and 10 teachers.

Dr. Tami Worner, a professor at Wayne State College, will be the course instructor for MATH 802T. For details and a course description for MATH 802T, please see the accompanying story in this email.
