$300 Tuition Fellowships available for graduate courses

The Nebraska Math and Science Summer Institutes (NMSSI) offer fellowships for graduate mathematics and pedagogy courses that are in a weeklong format to help you take advantage of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's professional development opportunities conveniently and affordably.

Five courses for elementary teachers will be offered in Lincoln this summer. Three courses are from June 17-28, allowing you to pair a mathematics course with one of two pedagogy options. As follows are the course listings:

June 17-28
8 a.m. to noon: TEAC 801: Curriculum Inquiry – Class # 11420, Sec # 591 OR TEAC 890: Responsive Instruction in the Mathematics Classroom – Class # 11430, Sec # 591
1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: MATH 896/803P: Algebraic Thinking for the Elementary Classroom – Class # 11447, Sec # 591

July 8-12
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: MATH 896/804P: Problem Solving and Critical Thinking in the Elementary Classroom – Class # 2972, Sec # 691

July 15-19
8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: MATH 800P: Number and Operation for K-3 Math Specialists – Class # 11408, Sec # 691
