The Nebraska Math and Science Summer Institutes (NMSSI) offer fellowships for graduate mathematics and pedagogy courses that are in a weeklong format to help you take advantage of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's professional development opportunities conveniently and affordably. TEAC 880E: Teaching Mathematics with Technology for grades 7-12 teachers of mathematics will be offered in Scottsbluff this summer.

As follows are the course dates, times and description for the Scottsbluff course at ESU 13:

June 13-17, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
TEAC 880E: Teaching Mathematics with Technology – Class # 4028, Sec # 951, Instructor: Shelby Aaberg, Scottsbluff High School
The focus of this workshop is on developing skills for using GeoGebra in the teaching and learning of middle and high school mathematics. Topics found in PreAlgebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus courses will be emphasized. Geometry properties and theorems, functions, transformations, conics, data analysis and other mathematics topics will be addressed. Participants will develop interactive mathematics applets, map downloaded files to their curriculum, and develop an implementation plan of action.
