The date of the OLLI CarFit class has been from moved April 21 to April 28. There are still open slots for enrollment for this class.
Do you have to sit on a pillow to drive? Are you constantly readjusting the mirror? Is your seat belt cutting into your neck? Are you as comfortable in your car as in your favorite chair? If not, then this seminar is for you.
CarFit is an educational program designed to improve your fit in your vehicle while increasing your personal safety, as well as the safety of others. Trained technicians will perform CarFit checks, which take only about 20 minutes. These checks include a 12-point evaluation to ensure you are seated properly in your vehicle, and the driver’s seat, seat belt, mirrors, steering wheel, head restraint, gas and brake pedals are positioned properly.
You will also receive a complimentary large-print road atlas from AAA. CarFit was developed by the American Society on Aging in collaboration with AARP, AAA and the American Occupational Therapy Association. This event is offered in partnership with AARP Nebraska.
