Arts for the Soul Music & Fine Arts series is pleased to announce the final concert of its 10th season with the silent film, “The General,” starring Buster Keaton, with live organ accompaniment by noted theater organist Brett Valliant. The concert is this evening, Friday, April 21, 7:30 p.m.at First Presbyterian Church, 840 S. 17th St.
Based on a true story from the Civil War “The General,” 1926, is consistently ranked among the greatest films ever made. It is so brilliantly conceived and made that it continues to inspire awe and laughter with every viewing.
The silent film will be followed by a special gala reception with live music in the reception hall. Come for live music, hors d’oeuvres, and a celebration of a decade of Arts for the Soul.
Arts for the Soul offers a discount ticket to OLLI members. Children under 12 are free. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
Regular tickets prices are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors, $8 for students.
