We are delighted to welcome Bob Michl who joins OLLI as part-time curriculum coordinator. Bob will be working with the OLLI Curriculum Committee to plan, develop and administer curricula and coordinate committee activities.
Bob comes to OLLI with a wealth of knowledge and experience in education. He spent 17 years teaching in the classroom and an additional 17 years as secondary principal at Freeman Public Schools in Adams, Neb. Bob holds a doctorate in educational administration from UNL.
In Bob’s long career in education, he has seen education evolve and change over time. “How we educate has become important because of evolving methods of delivery,” he said. “Our goals, however, remain the same: Teach people how to think, not what to think.”
He is looking forward to meeting and working with OLLI members and most of all, having fun.
