Family History Day is free and open to the public.

Registration is open for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Libraries fifth annual Family History Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2019 with the theme “Breaking Brick Walls.” The Family History Day is free and open to the public. The event will be held in Love Library, Room 102 (Auditorium), 13th & R Streets, Lincoln. Seating is limited so registration is required at: https://go.unl.edu/familyhistory.

Family History Day starts at 8:30 am with a session for people new to searching their family history. Other topics presented in the day-long program include sessions on tax records, cemetery records and two case studies, one involving how to search through common names, and the other on the Missouri River steamboat captains and crew members.

We welcome people attending the entire day or specific sessions. Participants can bring a lunch or purchase lunch at a nearby restaurant. Free parking will be available in the A and F3 lots north of the Mueller Tower and east of Memorial Stadium.
