If your student needs medicine this semester, remind them to visit the University Health Center pharmacy.

Fall semester hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Students can stop by to pick up their medications anytime the pharmacy is open, whether between classes or following an appointment with a provider. A pharmacist is available to answer any questions someone may have about medications, both prescription and over-the-counter. The pharmacy also can ship prescriptions to the student’s residence hall, apartment or throughout Nebraska. To transfer an existing prescription, have your student call 402-472-7457.

Students can download the health center's new app to request prescription refills, check a prescription status, schedule refill reminders, set reminders to take their medications and more. To download the app, students can text “APP” to 54053.

Hundreds of common over-the-counter items such as cold and flu medicine, vitamins, first aid kit supplies, personal hygiene products and more are available. Most products are offered at a lower rate than what students may find at off-campus drug stores. Free single doses of ibuprofen, antacid and acetaminophen are available upon request.

Students should bring their prescription insurance information with them when they visit the pharmacy. The pharmacy accepts most major prescription insurance plans, as well as cash, check, NCard, Health Savings Account cards and major credit cards.
