The University of Nebraska-Lincoln continues to take steps to provide the best educational opportunities and support for student success. Since the beginning of classes in August, the university has announced optional, remote three-week sessions, expanded study spaces, and fee reductions for qualifying students.
- This year's compressed academic calendar created an opportunity for optional, remote three-week sessions that allow students to catch up or get ahead on their degree requirements, broaden their career skills, or explore new topics. Registration for the Fall Three-Week Session is open through Nov. 29. Spring three-week courses will be announced soon and can be added to MyRED shopping carts on Oct. 19.
- Additional drop-in, reserved, and outdoor study spaces on campus beyond popular locations in the libraries and unions have been identified for students to attend Zoom classes, access remote course materials, and collaborate on small group projects while staying safe and physically distant.
- Students will receive a "Fall 2020 Fee Reduction" and/or "Spring 2021 Fee Reduction" if their total Online Course Fees plus Program Facilities Fees for that term are more than $722. The fee reductions do not include technology, library or other course and lab fees.
Students should check with their academic advisers if they have questions about if a three-week session could help with their degree requirements. They should contact Husker Hub to see if their current scholarships can be used toward the three-week sessions and also if they have individual billing questions related to fees.
