Free tax preparation offered virtually

Students can get help with their tax returns from trained peers.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering area residents free tax preparation virtually. Typically offered as face-to-face assistance, this year IRS-trained volunteers will work with clients completely online to prepare and electronically file tax returns.
