With a $20M naming gift from Kiewit Corporation and the support of numerous other generous individuals, corporations and foundations, Kiewit Hall is being built at the corner of 17th and Vine Street.

Construction began in October 2019 on the $75 million renovation of the Walter Scott Engineering Center and Nebraska Hall. Now construction is underway on the east side of the engineering complex, next to Abel/Sandoz Residence Halls.

Kiewit Hall, which will serve as engineering’s academic hub and house Lincoln-based construction management programs, is slated to open in Fall 2023. The state-of-the-art engineering building will help meet future workforce needs in the state and region.

During the construction period, pedestrian traffic near Abel/Sandoz Residence Halls will be affected. Beginning April 1, students should plan to use the pedestrian crossing south of Sandoz Hall to access the sidewalk south of Vine Street. More information for residents is available here.
