The registered dietitian can help your student find a healthy way of eating that meets their needs.

The University Health Center registered dietitian helps students build healthy nutrition habits to improve their overall well-being.

The dietitian offers one-on-one nutrition counseling for a variety of concerns:

  • Weight management
  • Disease prevention
  • Specific disease interventions
  • Digestive issues and more

Students can also work with the dietitian to build a healthy relationship with food, navigate food choices at the dining hall, get resources for meal planning and create strategies for grocery shopping.

Your student’s first nutrition counseling session is covered by their student fees. Follow-up appointments will have a charge for each visit, which can be submitted to private insurance. The health center participates with most insurance plans. To determine how much a visit will cost, contact your health insurance provider for coverage information.

All nutrition counseling sessions are via telehealth so that students can connect with their provider in the comfort of their own room. Students can call 402.472.5000 to schedule an appointment or visit our website to learn more about our services.
