**UNL Alert**
UNL Alert is a mass notification system that sends text messages and emails to the device and address students designate. Students can register and update their information at http://emergency.unl.edu/unlalert. Additional emergency preparedness tips can also be found at this site. Parents, please take a moment to check with your students to verify that they have signed up for UNL Alert – and if they haven’t, encourage them to do so. This is the best way to help them be informed so they can respond accordingly.

**OpeN Shelf**
We also want to remind UNL parents and students about the new OpeN Shelf Campus Pantry (402-435-3697; 535 N 16th Street) available to students who need it. OpeN Shelf campus pantry is committed to providing University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) students a healthy college experience in their pursuit of higher education by providing basic necessities to students in need. More information on donating to this program, hours of operation during the semester, volunteering and additional resources can be found on the OpeN Shelf website: http://openshelf.unl.edu/welcome-openshelf.

Best wishes for a health and successful Spring 2014 semester!
