
The Executive Education Program at CBA offers specific ongoing executive development for companies through customized management training programs as well as public programs and is led by Dr. Ron Hampton, director of executive education. The Executive Power Lunches and Executive Power Breakfasts are designed to introduce professionals to hot topics in a best practices format and provide businesses with ideas for professional and corporate growth. CBA’s renowned faculty will share the latest ideas and strategies as well as compelling examples of growth and innovation.

Dr. Mary Uhl-Bien, professor and Howard Hawks Chair in Business Ethics and Leadership, starts the Executive Power Breakfast series on Feb. 5 with the topic “Growth and Innovation: Leadership for a Complex World.” The power breakfast will take place at TD Ameritrade Headquarters, 200 South 108th Avenue, from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
Participants will be introduced to new managerial skills and benefit from networking opportunities with other participants. CBA will be hosting its third GMAT Strategy Workshop on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. This workshop is designed for those interested in learning strategies and approaches for taking the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), which measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills for graduate admission.The UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop will be led by Stephanie Espy, founder and president of MathSP: Strategies and Problem-solving.
“We encourage students who are interested in taking the GMAT to not miss this opportunity because after the workshop they will have a plan to conquer the GMAT,” said Kerri Hiatt, MBA adviser and online MBA coordinator. “Stephanie will go through each component of the test, share sample questions and guide you through the answers. She also provides test-taking tips and strategies.”
An official score on the GMAT is one of the admissions requirements for the CBA Master’s of Business Administration program, designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in any field and offers ultimate flexibility with on-campus and distance options. Those interested in jumpstarting their GMAT prep are invited to register for the UNL GMAT Strategy Workshop by Friday, Feb. 14 at http://mba.unl.edu/gmat . The workshop registration fee is $50 and includes a continental breakfast and comprehensive GMAT information packet.
