Did you know there is a health center on campus for students? Located across from Eastside Suites, the University Health Center provides a wide range of services to help students stay well so they can achieve their academic goals:

Medical Services

  • Care for illnesses and injuries (e.g., cold, flu, strep throat, rash, burn, bug bite, etc.)
  • Routine/preventive care (e.g., physicals, women’s and men’s health exams, birth control prescriptions, wellness lab profiles, etc.)
  • Sexual health care (e.g., birth control prescriptions, IUD/Nexplanon insertion, emergency contraception, sexually transmitted infection testing, pelvic exams, etc.)
  • Pharmacy (e.g., prescriptions and over-the-counter items such as aspirin, allergy medication, first aid kit supplies, personal hygiene products, emergency contraception, etc.)
  • Dental care (e.g., annual exams and cleanings)
  • Immunizations (e.g., Flu shots, HPV, tetanus, etc.)
  • Nutrition counseling with a registered dietitian
  • X-rays
  • Lab tests
  • Optometry (e.g., annual eye exams and contact lens)
  • And much more


Counseling & Well-being Services
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Big Red Resilience and Well-Being are also located in the building and offer individual counseling and group therapy, well-being coaching, support and education for students.

Scheduling Appointments
Students can make an appointment by calling the following numbers. Encourage your students to add these numbers to their phone contacts for easy access!

For Medical Appointments
  • Appointments phone lines are open Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., but treatment hours vary by service.
  • When your student calls, they should be prepared to tell the phone operator how long they’ve had the concern, the severity and symptoms of their concern and their temperature.
  • Your student should always bring their NCard and insurance card with them to their appointment.
  • Students should arrive 20 minutes before their appointment so that they have time to check-in and complete paperwork; if they are late, they will be asked to reschedule.
