Free Health Center services will keep your student physically well

The University Health Center offers free services to help your student take care of their physical well-being while they are on campus.

The 2019-20 services that are covered by student fees are:
o Five talking office visits with a Medical or Travel Clinic provider every July through June (e.g., talking with a provider about a medical concern such as a cough that won’t go away, a rash that recently developed or unexplained pain in an area of the body)
o Flu shots (available beginning in October)
o Doctor-ordered wellness profiles (call 402.472.5000 to speak to a nurse and get a doctor’s order)
o Doctor-ordered chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV testing (call 402.472.5000 to speak to a nurse and get a doctor’s order)
o First nutrition counseling session with the registered dietitian
o 24-hour doses of ibuprofen, acetaminophen and antacid at the pharmacy
o Health clearance for most but not all Campus-Recreation-sponsored sports clubs
o Tobacco Quit Kits, Cold Care Kits and other free self-care items requested while supplies last

Counseling and Psychological Services is located on the second floor of the University Health Center. Their visits are covered by student fees at no cost to students. To make a CAPS appointment, call 402.472.7450.

Big Red Resilience and Well-Being is located on the first floor of the University Health Center. Their free services include well-being coaching and suicide prevention training and more. For more information, call 402.472.8770.
