UNL Mock Trial Informational Meetings

7 individuals standing as a group in front of Love LibraryAre you interested in law, government, acting, criminal justice, or public speaking? If you said yes to any of those, Mock Trial is the perfect fit for you! We travel all over the country competing against different schools by preparing a case and presenting it to a judge. Even if you know next to nothing about the law, you can join! We teach you everything you need to be a fake lawyer or witness! Our team meets three times a week for two hours each time, as well as competing over some weekends. Every person should have at least three competitions to attend!

We will be having informational meetings about the team where you can ask questions, learn more, and meet current members! They will be on Thursday, August 28th and Friday, August 29th from 7:30-8:30 P.M. in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center room 211. If you need help getting there, just reach out :)

Auditions will be held the week of September 1st. Our website has all the audition materials and information you could need! We also have information on our Instagram @unlmocktrialteam. Follow us to stay up to date and get an idea of our team as a whole!

Campaign Intern

One House Strategies was founded in 2023 by Nebraska based political operatives Meg Mandy and Brandon Bayer. Mandy and Bayer have a combined experience of nearly three decades working in government and running progressive initiative and candidate campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels. Having managed over 70+ campaigns in the state of Nebraska, One House Strategies provides candidates and diverse coalitions with the expertise needed to win.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Project Managers and the Finance Director, the Campaign Intern assists the One House Strategies (OHS) team in running successful political candidate campaigns. This individual will develop campaign and fundraising skills by shadowing the Finance Director and assisting them with their day-to-day work. The Campaign Intern will be an active, positive, participating member of the OHS team.

Terms:
Application Deadline: Ongoing until spots are filled.
Start Date: September 2, 2025 (temporary through December 19, 2025)
Pay: $4,000 stipend ($1,000 per month)
Schedule: Part time, 10 – 15 hours per week expected time commitment
Location: In-office work environment in Lincoln, Nebraska
